Maternity photo sessions in Barcelona
Pregnancy is a fascinating stage, full of moments that won't come again, and what better way to capture them than with a maternity photo session. A session where what matters is enjoying a lovely experience somewhere we can simply enjoy taking photos.
Before we start
Maternity photos outdoors or in your home: no studio, no studio lights and no impossible poses.
These sessions can combine photos of you on your own, with your partner or with your children. There are no limits: it's a fleeting moment and what matters is capturing it the way you like best.
I'm Aitor and I do maternity photo sessions in Barcelona with Acurrucados. I look for natural light, a place where you feel at ease and just enough time for you to forget about the camera. The result is natural photos that, years from now, will still tell you what those days were like.

What a maternity photo session is like

The best time
The ideal time is usually between weeks 28 and 34: your bump is showing and you can still move comfortably. If you miss that window, don't worry; every stage of pregnancy has its charm.

With whoever you like
On your own, with your partner, with your children or with the whole family. Photos with big brothers and sisters are often the ones remembered most.

The light
Outdoors I look for the last hour of the afternoon, when the light is soft and warm. At home I use the light from the windows, with no studio lights or flash.

What to wear
Comfortable clothes you feel like yourself in, ideally in plain, soft colours. A flowing dress works really well outdoors. We'll talk it through calmly before the session. Where
Where we take maternity photos in Barcelona
In general, I like doing any photo session outdoors. The light, nature and colours go much further than in a studio. And with maternity sessions, it feels even more right.
The Mini session takes place in Parc de la Ciutadella. With the Basic we can go to a park or a beach in the Barcelona metropolitan area, and with the Sin Prisas you choose the place.
If you prefer, the maternity session can also take place in the comfort of your home, ideal for bad weather or for the last few weeks.

How much does a maternity photo session cost?
Maternity sessions have the same prices as all the others. They all include the edited photos in full resolution in a private online gallery.
Mini

30 minutes and 25 edited photos. Outdoors, in Parc de la Ciutadella.
Basic

1 hour and 50 edited photos. At home or outdoors, in the Barcelona metropolitan area.
Sin Prisas (no rush)

About 2 hours and 120 to 150 edited photos. You choose the location and get every photo.
